As someone constantly on the hunt for soul-satisfying Italian cuisine, Mucca Osteria is a revelation. From the very first bite, the menu unfolds like a culinary love letter to Italy. It all begins with their curated bread selection — warm, rustic loaves of olive, focaccia, seeded, and pugliese bread that pair effortlessly with a glass of wine. It's simple, but the craftsmanship is undeniable.
The starters set the tone: the Insalata di Barbabietole is a vibrant beet salad, earthy and fresh, while the Insalata d’Uva noci e Gorgonzola delivers a beautiful contrast of sweet grapes, creamy Gorgonzola, and crunchy walnuts. Their Zuppa del Giorno — the soup of the day — is always comforting, but the real showstopper for me was the Carpaccio di Bresaola: paper-thin cured beef that melts like butter, served with sharp arugula and parmesan shavings.
When it comes to pasta, Mucca doesn’t hold back. The Gemelli alla Sorrentina is classic and homely, while the Spaghettoni alla Gricia — with its rich guanciale and pecorino — is pure Roman indulgence. I couldn’t get enough of the Gnocchi Funghi e Salsiccia, a foresty, savory dream, and the Radiatore Frutti di Mare, which bursts with ocean flavors.
For the main courses, the Bistecca di Manzo is grilled to perfection — juicy and robust. The Cosciotto d'Anatra (duck leg) is fall-off-the-bone tender, and their fish of the day never disappoints.
Desserts feel like a warm hug. From the silky Pannacotta and indulgent Tiramisu to the nostalgic Italian Amaretti Cookie Crumble Ice Cream, each spoonful is heavenly.
Mucca Osteria’s menu doesn’t just feed you — it embraces you with authentic Italian warmth in every bite.
